What is free and what needs Pro?
Free: the Turbo Four with every part and every table, the guided project car tutorial, the dyno, logs and Game Center. Pro ($14.99, one purchase) adds all ten engines, custom builds, every lesson and Career mode.
I bought Pro on another device. How do I get it back?
Tap any locked item to open the Pro screen, then tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple ID you bought it with. You can also restore from Setup (the gear at the bottom of the left rail).
The engine will not start.
That is usually the tune. Open the Garage and read the box under the specs: if the injectors, fuel, MAP sensor or fuel pressure do not match what the ECU expects, tap Fix. Then check Cranking fuel in the Tune screen. Too little and it will not fire; too much and it floods.
Why does it say lean, knock or hot?
The lamps in the status bar are the engine talking. Lean means less fuel than the target, knock means the timing is past what the fuel can take, hot means EGT, coolant or intake air is high. Tap the coach pill in the status bar for what to do next, or use the Log overlay on a table to see exactly which cells it happened in.
My engine blew up. Did I lose my tune?
No. Your tune is kept. Tap Rebuild engine and try again, then check the log to see what led up to it. In Career mode the rebuild costs shop money.
How do the Game Center leaderboards work?
Sign in to Game Center in the iOS Settings app. A pull counts for the leaderboard only if the engine is still running five seconds after it finishes, so a pull that ends in a bang does not count.
How do I start my career over?
Career, Records, then Start a new career at the bottom. This cannot be undone.
Is my data backed up?
Everything is saved on your device and included in your normal iPhone or iPad backup. Nothing is uploaded to us. See the privacy policy.
